Unable to connect to proftpd ftp server. (Plesk)


While trying to connect to FTP server the following error message is shown:

If you run proftpd –configtest and the following errors will shown:

It will shows :-

proftpd[16708]: warning: unable to determine IP address of ‘hostname.com’
proftpd[16708]: error: no valid servers configured
proftpd[16708]: Fatal: error processing configuration file ‘/etc/proftpd.conf’

Reason:-  Your Server hostname in ‘/etc/hosts’ file was not configured properly.

Set your hostname correctly as mentioned below :-               localhost.localdomain localhost              hostname.com  hostname

Then again run :-

[root@server src]# proftpd –configtes
Checking syntax of configuration file

Restart your “xinetd service” thats all 🙂

The Employee does not exist, or the password provided is incorrect (Prestashop)


If you are getting below  error message after entering the login details in your Prestashop admin :-


The Employee does not exist, or the password provided is incorrect

Do the below steps :-

The reason of this error, perhaps that cookies don’t match in your MD5 hash of password.

Update the employee’s password with matching cookie:

UPDATE employee SET passwd = md5(”<COOKIE_KEY><yourNewPassword>”) WHERE email = “youremailaddress”;

You can find cooking key in the config/settings.inc.php

While checking the Awstats from your cPanel >> logs >> Awstats and you are getting below error message.
“There are no domains which have awstats stats to display”

Check the permission and symlink of below files :-

[root@server ~]# ls -lah /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/awstats.pl  ====> Should have 755 permissions
[root@server ~]# ls -lah /usr/local/cpanel/base/awstats.pl ====> should be have a symlink to /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/awstats.pl

Correct the permission and restart the cPanel service.

[root@server ~]# /scripts/runweblogs cPanel_username

[root@server ~]# /etc/init.d/cpanel restart

Now  check it again and it is working fine. 😀




Below is the Configuring of Outlook (secure and non-secure)


In Outlook Tools settings >> E-mail Accounts.

1) Display Name :- abc@yourdomain.com

2) Internet E-mail Address:- abc@yourdomain.com

3) Incoming mail POP/IMAP Server:- mail.yourdomain.com / yourdomain.com /server ip

4) Outgoing mail SMTP Server :- mail.yourdomain.com / yourdomain.com /server ip

5) Account name :– abc@yourdomain.com

6) Password :- Enter the password of the email account


Non secure port settings:-

Outgoing mail (SMTP):25 OR 26 Or 587 (some ISP’s are blocking port 25)

Incoming mail(POP3):110

Incoming mail(IMAP):143


Secure port settings:-

Outgoing mail (SMTP): 465

Incoming mail(POP3): 995

Incoming mail(IMAP): 993

NOTE : Make sure you have selected ” My Server Requires Authentication” .

Go to Outlook >> tools >> account >> Properties >>under server tab >> My Server Requires Authentication.

If you are getting below error message while login into to Roundcube.


Unable to connect to the database!
Please contact your server-administrator. Do the below steps:-

OutLook asking For Password again and again


You are able to login successfully through your web-mail, but not from Outlook. Outlook is asking Password again and again, then what to do?

1) If you have facing the above issue, then it is a problem of pop3 service, just do the simple tick to resolve issue.

Open the below file  in your favorite editor.

[root@pop ~]# vi /etc/xinetd.d/popa3d

Then just change disable = yes in this file.

2) you have to do the same changes into the below file as well.

[root@pop ~]# vi /etc/xinetd.d/popa3ds

3) And restart the service of mail and cPanel.

[root@office1 ~]#/etc/init.d/xinetd restart


[root@office1 ~]#/scripts/courierup

[root@office1 ~]# /etc/init.d/cpanel restart

[root@office1 ~]# /etc/init.d/courier-authlib restart

Password protect not working (WordPress)


When you have installed WordPress under your main domain and you wish to set any Directory as password protected which is present under your domain’s public_html Directory but after setting the directory as a password protected
You are getting 404 error or not found error while browsing/accessing the URL.

Just do the below simple step 🙂

1) Open the .htaccess files in which your password protect code is inserted and the below line.

ErrorDocument 401 default

save it and you have done it 🙂
